Today you will see the crescendo of the “propagande build-up” that has been going on for a while. Hearts in all sizes, roses, chocolate, cuddly bears, cards with cute pictures, cakes… Everything with a touch of red and pink. All the attributes that make us open up our heart centre. (According to the Chinese medicine the fire-element to which the heart meridian belongs, its colour is red and the energetic movement is expansion). Of course this day is a nudge to make us buy stuff, but in my opinion it doesn’t make it less wonderful! A day dedicated to love!
Over the years I have noticed how this day has shifted from celebrating romantic love to love of all kinds. Hallmark and Papyrus (the greeting card companies) might have had something to do with that – but it is for a loving cause! 🙂
So we sprinkle these loving feelings we carry inside on the people we care for, and that makes the 14th of February a lighter and more heartfelt day for many of us. I would guess that if the vibrational frequency was measured in the countries where this day is celebrated – it would show a difference compared to other days. I am sure you know the kind of difference I am talking about. Just compare a time when you had a conversation with someone who was hostile to you, and a time when you had a chat with your best friend. There is a dramatic change inside of you when you shift between these two examples, isn’t it?!
In this celebrations of love, don’t forget yourself. You are your own best friend, your Beloved, the Love of your life – even if you do not Always think of, or treat yourself, that way. The love for self is the factor that decides how much you can love another. So if you go all in, in this “Valentino-mania”, also do something nice for yourself to feel the lightness, joy and the gratitude for you being you!
